Accessibility

The Mustio Manor area is a historical site and the buildings have been restored with respect to their original structure. The old buildings are generally not suitable for visitors with mobility impairments.

The park

In the manor park there are spacious, maintained pathways between buildings paved with gravel, as well as grassy areas and narrow paths with bridges and varying terrain, where mobility aids may be used in some areas. The grass and pathways can be very soft and wet in rainy and damp weather and icy in cold temperatures. The blooming park is in a natural state and thus not suitable for visitors with mobility impairments. The area is gloomy during snowless darker seasons of the year.

Manor museum

The castle tour is guided in both floors of the manor. Stairs lead to the upper floors; there is no elevator. There are also stairs in front of the castle, where a ramp is available by prior notice. Visitors with mobility impairments or those using aids can participate in the general tour on the lower floor.

The hotel

In the Edelfelt hotel buidling there are two single rooms, one of which is suitable for a mobility-impaired guest with an assistant. Next to the accessible room, there is another single room where the assistant can stay. Our staff can assist with moving to the room temporarily by prior arrangement.

The saunas

The lakeside sauna has stairs. The Orangerie sauna has a threshold. The sauna and washing rooms are not suitable for guests with mobility impairments who move independently. The restroom facilities in the saunas are not suitable for mobility-impaired guests.

The restaurant

A ramp is available to the restaurant's exterior door to overcome the threshold. There is an accessible restroom in the restaurant lobby. Inside the restaurant, movement is possible with limited mobility aids. The restaurant pavilion, which also serves as an event and meeting space, is suitable for guests with mobility impairments.

Other meeting and event venues

The Stable and Granary meeting and event venues have a ramp available at the exterior door, but the restroom facilities in these spaces are not suitable for mobility-impaired guests. The Shingle house meeting room and the Culinary academy are not suitable for mobility-impaired guests, as they are located on the second floor, accessible only by stairs.

The summer theatre

Wheelchair spaces are available on the side and front of the summer theatre. Reservations for these spaces must be made in advance and are subject to availability. Contact: myynti@teatteriprovinssi.fi.

It is important to always notify us in advance about mobility impairments to facilitate assistance, the use of aid devices and customized services.

Responsibility

Mustion Linna is one of Finland's most valuable manor houses and is under the supervision of the Finnish Heritage Agency. There is camera surveillance in the museum. Guests are responsible for any damage to the property during their visit and for any harm caused to themselves, others or the property. Guests must compensate Oy Svartå Gård Ab (Mustio Manor) for any damage caused to the property. The person making the reservation is also responsible for others visiting the site with them and for any damage they may cause during the reservation. Children must be accompanied by an adult in the museum. Children are the responsibility of the adult accompanying them.
