This charming red log house from the 1780s originally served as housing for workers at the Mustio Ironworks. The building was renovated in the early 1990s and again in the late 2010s.
The house's historical character has been preserved, featuring partially visible original beams and ceilings inside.
The Red Cottage is located along the oak-lined Ruukinkatu street, near other historic buildings such as the Yellow Smith's House and the old locomotive shed.
Address: Ruukinkatu 22, Mustio, approximately 400 meters from the reception of Mustio Manor and restaurant Slottskrogen. The guest harbor is also about 400 meters away.
The building does not have air conditioning or WiFi. Free guest WiFi is available in restaurant Slottskrogen and meeting rooms.
The house contains two apartments, each with its own entrance. The apartments are connected by an internal door, allowing them to be booked together as one unit.
The surrounding area offers beautiful walking and cycling routes to Mustio village (nearest store 3.5 km away). Bicycles can be rented at the reception.

Outside, there is a terrace next to the house and another terrace on an upper level accessed via stairs.

The apartment is not suitable for persons with reduced mobility due to stairs and thresholds at the entrance, with no assistive devices available.
Free parking in front of the house and along the street.
