River Cottage

Guests can enjoy a rowboat on the river, and the cottage features a shower connected to the sauna and  a traditional outhouse in the yard (please note, there is no toilet inside the cottage). The sauna's door is conveniently located on the cottage's terrace, right by the front door.

While the cottage lacks a TV and WLAN, it offers a cozy retreat with a small kitchenette for preparing snacks. The restaurant’s breakfast buffet is included when served at Linnankrouvi. Final cleaning is included in the price, with additional cleaning services available for longer stays.

Though the cottage is close to other hotel buildings like Small Cottage and The Shingle House, it’s tucked away in its own private spot. Free parking is available nearby, and in good weather, guests can drive down a small road to the cottage.

Pets are welcome, and the nearby Mustio Manor guest harbor and scenic trails along Lake Lohja offer beautiful walks and jogging routes. The village shop is about 3.5 km away, easily reachable by renting a Jopo bike from the reception.

The ground floor

The ground floor is approximately 15 m².

There is a small kitchenette with a sink, small refrigerator, electric kettle, hot plate and tableware for eight guests. A saucepan, frying pan and a small selection of kitchen utensils are also provided.

A 120 cm wide sofa bed is located on the ground floor and can be prepared as an extra bed for an additional fee.

The ground floor also features a coat rack, mirror and a small dining table with chairs.

Several windows offer views of the river and courtyard area. Blackout roller blinds are fitted.

Access to the upper floor is via steep ladder-style stairs.

The upper floor

The upper floor is approximately 21 m² (the sloping ceiling limits usable space).

There is one double bed and space for two junior mattresses. Due to the steep ladder-style stairs, the upper floor is not recommended for small children.

Two small windows are located at each end of the upper floor. Blackout roller blinds are fitted.

Porch & Sauna

Steps lead up to the porch. The covered porch is furnished with a table and chairs.

From the porch there is access to a small private sauna. The sauna has a separate entrance door next to the cottage entrance on the same porch.

The sauna (approx. 3.5 m²) features an electric sauna heater, a window and a shower for washing in a traditional style. The dressing area has blackout roller blinds.

Additional Information

A composting outdoor toilet is located nearby in a sheltered spot, accessed via a small path.

Parking is possible in good weather near the cottage, along the narrow road leading to it.

The cottage is not suitable for guests with reduced mobility. The path to the cottage slopes downhill towards the shore. Access routes are natural footpaths, and there are natural stone steps leading down to the river. The yard area is kept in a natural style.

Natural ventilation system. Electric heating. Fireplace (currently not in use).
